Review of My Pets Friend Pet Stain and Odor Remover

If you have pets that pee on the floor you are going to want to read about this pet stain and odor remover from the Dollar Tree.

We have these Poodles. Two of them and they are demon spawns naughty, crazy and sweet all in one. Lucky and Levi. They are from the same litter and have the same issue and they have had this little issue for all the eight years we have owned them.

Poodle wall of shame

Yes, they like to pee inside. On my chair, on the floor, on my trash can. We have scolded, attempted to retrain, ignored, taken them out more and more piled on praise for outside potty time and just cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Still, they continue to do their business as they please inside.

I was talking to my someday daughter in law about the issue. We both just thought that even though I scrub, steam clean and scrub some more their little poodle noses can still smell their pee. I mentioned that I saw a cheap version of enzyme cleaner at the Dollar Tree. Well, her sweet Zoey had an accident the other night so she stopped at the Dollar Tree and grabbed two bottles. One for her and one for little  me. Bless her heart! Little did I know this stuff was going to instantly change my life! Well, not really but, at the very least stop me from asking company if they can smell dog pee odors. LOL

Pet Stain Remover From The Dollar Tree

No, of course I didn’t spray the doggie. 😉

I went right to his favorite spot that had been steam cleaned but, still had faint traces of dog urine and I let that chair have it. Then I went around and sprayed every other favorite pee spot. I let it sit and dry. This morning, I got down and smelled that chair and the smell is gone! Not even a trace of the nasty dog urine smell. Get this… it smells pleasant now!

Something else I noticed the dog has stopped sniffing around it like he did before.  So far today no accidents. I am not holding my breath on being so Lucky it cured the issue but personally I think it is helping.

My Pets Friend Pet Stain and Oder Remover

This product is sold at the Dollar Tree. I am not affiliated with the Dollar Tree nor this product. I am simply reviewing it because it works.

The Directions on the bottle are simple.

  1. You need to soak up all the pee.
  2. Then you must spray the cleaner very generously on the stain insuring if it is on a carpet it gets well into the pad.
  3. You need to rub the product into any stains on your carpet or upholstery.
  4. Then let everything  air dry.

This is just what I did on an OLD stain and it worked. I will tell you on the chairs I had steam cleaned before hand but those smells were well set in. The smell of urine is now completely gone..

If you have pets this is a must buy at the Dollar Tree.

And Lucky Ole boy we still love you even with all your imperfections you are still family.

This Mom Life and Making Room for Blogging

Sometimes this mom life and/or grandma life gets in the way of doing the other things I enjoy. Such as blogging today. I think it is safe to say you can all relate. So I am just going to tell you a bit about my Moms Life day because, it is my goal to make room for blogging in some form each day even if it is in the wee early morning hours. It gives me a nice platform to be a bit creative 🙂  and connect with other moms .

I cleaned today. There is a big surprise. However it seems I have been quickly losing steam lately. Midafternoon I was bored out of my mind, didn’t want to clean anything more  and was seriously thinking of any excuse to get out of the house. So I mentioned to hubby I would like to go to Best Buy to checkout  their cameras.

I am not by any scope of the imagination a photographer but this is what we came up with.

Nikon – COOLPIX B500 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera in Plum

Ahhh, she is so beautiful <3 LOVE!!!

Nikon Cool Pix

We are just waiting to get our taxes back. I played with it in the store and just loved the ease of use and the way it felt in my hand. I don’t care too much about the color but the hubby would like to see me have it in the plum color so if they have it in that color I’ll be getting that if not black is great too. The camera I have now is a FUJIFILM and it is the biggest piece of junk I have ever laid my hands on. Though to-day. I did charge its batteries and such because I do not think the cell phone pics are helping my blog much *sigh* . So that is that I am waiting on a new camera and super excited too! Then no more blurry, weird, mistimed photos. Well, at least not so often 😉 .

So after I tossed batteries in my camera I snapped a photo to make sure it was working in some capacity.

This is our miniature poodle mid face lick. Such a handsome old boy. He is Little Miss Toddlers best buddy. So very tolerant and loving with her. He loves her even more when she has a bread crust or some other yummy morsel in her hand. LOL But, he feels that way about all of us. Miss Toddler loves slipping him treats. I think he has put on considerable weight in her presence .

White Miniture Poodle

Little Miss Toddlers newest thing is using her “colors” crayons. (See why Little Miss Toddler is all wet below .)

She is very insistent though YOU color for her or watch her color. What ever at the moment suits her fancy. Tonight she captured Pop-Pop as a coloring partner. He looks adorable seated at her tiny Minnie Mouse table coloring . He is such a good father and Pop-Pop. Aways making time for the things that really matter like “colors” and snuggle time.

Colors with Pop-Pop

There is something else Little Miss Toddler likes even more than her colors and I am sure if you looked at the photo of her coloring you saw she was a very , very wet child. She enjoys this so much … She calls this “washing dishes” How ever she is not really allowed to wash dishes. What she is doing is making puddles of water. Lots of water. She is also soaking her clothing. This right here is her happiest of activities. Me, I am not a fan, LOL but I let her supervised hoping one day soon she will tire of it or turn into a tween who just thinks washing dishes is fabulous! Okay wishful thinking I know.

Toddler water play

We had a pretty simple dinner of Chop Suey and rolls. I have been craving it and the hubby is not always a fan so it was easy and yummy. The boys were thrilled as they all love pasta in any form.

Now I am off to wash towels (the work never ends) and go to bed. <–Yay!

Be sure to check out our Facebook Group and maybe show us some love on Twitter we will always Love ya right back 🙂

Is My Child Ready For A Family Pet?

At some point, almost every child asks that all time famous question. “Can I have a pet?” While owning a pet fosters responsibility and compassion, some children are just not ready to help take care of a pet. It is a huge responsibility and one that must be given careful thought.

There are many things you should consider as a family.

What kind of pet?

What kind of pet would fit into your lifestyle best? There are many options from large dogs to little fish. You should carefully consider the needs of each and what you think will fit into your lifestyle as well. The happiest pet is one with happy owners that don’t feel stressed by its care and needs. You should study into types as well as breeds so you know exactly what to expect breeds.

Can you afford the addition of a pet?

Now that you have decided on a type of pet. You need to consider the cost of owning a pet. Pets even if you are given on free are very expensive. If you have a dog or a cat there will be vet visits, food, licensing, toys and supplies and if your pet should become sick there are medications they may need. Owning a pet is very expensive.

Do you have the time?

Animals require attention just like we do as human beings. The need to be fed, groomed, walked, played with. They need to know they are loved. Without proper care, they will suffer. Families that are going through major changes such as a move or birth of a child or that work long hours may just not have the time.

My home

Do you live in an apartment? Is a pet OK with your landlord? Will you have to pay a separate pet deposit? Do you have space? Is there room in the back yard for a pet to roam? Are there laws in your area regarding scooping and licensing? What are they?

My child

Is he or she ready? Owning a pet is a family matter. Never surprise your child with a pet they are not expecting. Expectations about the care and exercise of the pet should be laid out clearly. Many children lose interest in a pet after the first few weeks and leave mom and dad to care for the pet. Pets require gentle handling and understanding do you think your child is ready for that? How do they react to animals you see out in public? Are they rough, or afraid? It may be better if they learn some animal care before you add a pet to your home. Visits to the local animal shelter are a wonderful start and often the staff is willing to teach basic animal care to children.

Remember

A pet is a huge commitment. Many pets live for at least 15 years with proper care. Will you still want this commitment then? Puppies, kittens and such are cute, but they grow and have needs that must be met.
